note: The scenes in these conversations are mostly a little crazy, silly or stupid. That makes them easier to remember ! Please act a bit crazy when you do them. Especially use extra stress in your intonation, and join phrases into tone groups. Do not speak word by word !

1. International Visitor

+ Did you ever drink soju before?

- Only once. In my country I usually drink a glass or two of beer

+ Soju is Korea's national drink. You have to try some more

- No thanks. I don't like spirits.

+ We'll have to take you to a Norebang. Can you sing?

- Only when I am alone! Nobody asks me to sing twice !

+ You shouldn't be shy

- The thing I like best in Korea is the mountains.

+ We'll have to take you mountain climbing.

- Last year I climbed Worak-san. That was nice.

+ You must be very fit.

- People are more friendly in the mountains. They always say 'hello'.
